When I’m not making music: I’m at Portland Pottery creating ceramic pieces, experimenting in the kitchen and exploring the beautiful Maine scenery.
Current Music Projects:.Writing and performing with the Alicia Phelps Group, the Riff Cats, and the Gatsby Gang Jazz Band. Cultivating music ministry at the Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church.
Favorite place in Maine: Anywhere along the coast, but especially Belfast, ME in the height of summer.

Alicia Phelps is a jazz vocalist and pianist working as a music educator and freelance musician based in Portland. Born in Hinesburg, VT, Alicia has performed at many venues throughout New England such as the Discover Jazz Festival and Burlington First Night. Alicia is also the Music Director at the Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church in Westbrook, ME.
Recently Alicia has had the opportunity to perform with Grammy award-winning vocalist/saxophonist Darmon Meader (New York Voices), the Portland Jazz Orchestra, organist/pianist Dr. Joe Utterback, and jazz pianist Jed Wilson.
Alicia works with multiple groups in the Portland area performing treasures from the American Songbook, classic jazz, and high energy R&B music.
Over the past few years Alicia has studied privately with many professional musicians throughout the New England area including Jed Wilson, Steve Grover, Dominique Eade and Taylor O’Donnell.
