2019 Yarmouth Farmers Market Will Kick-Off With More Vendors, New Vendors and Third Thursdays
Market Runs Thursday, June 6th – Thursday, October 17th 3-6pm

The Yarmouth Farmers Market will return for a fifth season in June with 18 seasonal vendors – our biggest market yet – plus guest vendors, food trucks, and live music provided by 317 Main faculty and students and community members.

This lively market will operate on Thursdays from 3 PM to 6 PM in front of 317 Main Community Music Center at 317 Main Street from June 6th through October 17th. Parking will be available on Main Street, in the Sacred Heart Church parking lot and behind 317 Main in the Masonic Lodge parking lot.

Opening Day on June 6th will feature a free performance by Grammy-nominated mandolin player Matt Flinner from 4-5pm and free custom tote bags for the first 25 shoppers.

Based on the popularity of last year’s MarketFest, in 2019, The Yarmouth Farmers Market will partner with the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Yarmouth to roll-out Third Thursdays on June 20th, July 18th, and August 15th. Third Thursdays will run 3 PM to 7 PM with performances, an open mic, food trucks, a cash bar run by Liquid Riot and special offers from participating Yarmouth businesses.

“Summer gets so busy. We hope Third Thursdays will feel like a neighborhood block party where friends and neighbors reconnect and tap  into Yarmouth’s growing art and music scene,” said Amy Sinclair, Yarmouth Farmers Market Manager.

The Yarmouth Farmers Market has grown steadily since its relocation to 317 Main in 2015. “Our goal for year five is for people to make the market a habit-a healthy habit.” said Sinclair. “Put us on repeat in your smartphones for all 19 weeks!”

Once again, the market is pleased to offer food assistance for anyone who needs it through ourFood Voucher Program, which was first introduced in 2016. $15 vouchers will be available both at the Yarmouth Food Pantry and at the market information booth to any Yarmouth resident, 18 or older. This program is funded by Island Treasure Toys, First Parish Congregational Church in Yarmouth and Yarmouth Cares About Neighbors (YCAN).

We are also grateful to the Town of Yarmouth, 317 Main Community Music Center, ReVision Energy, Rhizome Marketing and Maine Line Fence for supporting the market.

Every dollar spent at the Yarmouth Farmers Market goes directly to Maine farmers, small businesses and artists. Thank you for making us a healthy habit in 2019!
